Under Consideration

Secret Intentions/A Tarnished Heart/Deceptions — whatever you want to call this story — is under consideration now at The Wild Rose Press. I have two short stories there and have always been pleased with their business savvy and awesome covers. EnglishTeaRose I hope the editor (not the same one I’ve had in the past) likes it! I really would like for this story to find a new, HAPPY home!

It’s MY birthday, but…

I’m giving YOU the presents!

Just comment on any post sometime TODAY and I’ll choose a name (or two or three). You can pick the gift! I’ve got earrings, bath salts, bath fizzes, or any of my stories in download!

So come wish me a Happy Birthday or give a comment to any of my recent posts! Don’t make me beg! LOL!

Yes, “300″ was out several months ago. In fact, it *arrives* on DVD at the end of July…sigh. But I found this post on Book Bitches after one of them had first seen the film. Pardon the language, but she knows of what she speaks! LOL!

there he was, my gorgeous hero, *faint!* Gerard Butler dressed only in a leather codpiece!!! Mama mia! (I love Papa Brad but this I gotta say: GB looked better than him and all his pouting in Troy.) When King Leonidas stands naked in the moonlight, his muscled body glistening, powerful, beautiful—utterly delicious!—he was fucking STUNNING. My harloty heart went thump-thump-thumping fast and all I could think was, “Turn around, turn around, for fuck’s sake turn around…

Alas, but King Leonidas does NOT turn around and let our eyes feast upon his glory. Still, the sight of his nekkid behind will live with me forever!

What is this world coming to?

when a man stomps a pet fish? Really, people. Are you that mad, that out of control of your sensibilities, that you have to hurt a defenseless fish?

Give me a break. Take an anger management class, will ya?

Another interesting article regarding my (second) cousin, Michael Chabon. Yes, two published authors in the same family…and we couldn’t write more differing stories! LOL!

I’m Sckeeerd!

Yes. I have written alien romances.

No. My aliens do not look like this. (Scroll down to the second bookcover.)

H-O-T!

If you thought I was done talking about male body part sizes, you were wrong. Apparently, Book Bitches has a lot to say about it too. They list a lot of statistics and averages, some of which I think I was better off not knowing! LOL!

I was going to copy and paste some of their text on here as a quote, but their site won’t let me. So go on over and read for yourself — if you dare! ;-)

I must disagree

A new study suggests that older siblings have a higher IQ than their younger brothers or sisters. I really hate studies like this, because there’s just so many people who can disprove it. I can name several families, my own included, where the younger children are “smarter” or have a higher IQ.

There are many studies on breastfeeding. Now I’m one to admit it’s the healthiest for the baby but when they claimed it can lower ear infections, I had to shout out. My sister breastfed both babies and both kids had numerous, horrible ear infections. I couldn’t nurse any of my kids and they almost never had an ear infection. Probably it was all due to genetics, not the act of nursing.

Anyway, like statistics, I think studies can highlight whatever point you want to make. Thoughts?
