(Note: Updated to include a new petition link, as letter was updated.)
One of the movies Gerry completed last year was called “Butterfly on a Wheel” and also starred Pierce Brosnan and Mario Bello. The title was changed to “Shattered” based on the idea of the thriller plot, where lives are shattered by the bad guy, Brosnon. A really cool trailer has been released.
What’s the problem, you ask? Well, it’s only being released on ten screens in Miami, Florida. And only based on popularity will they release it to a larger audience. Okay, yeah, I’m a Gerry Butler fan, but this movie actually looks pretty good in the trailer. I just don’t get why the release is so limited. If you’re interested in seeing it, think about signing this petition and letting Lions Gate Entertainment know it deserves a better chance!

Couldn’t get an internet connection this past weekend so couldn’t update. I’ll promise to try to come up with something witty, interesting, or controversial tomorrow.
In the mean time, here’s a present in hopes you’ll forgive me!

This interview was SUPPOSED to be about Guy Ritchie, you know, Mr. Madonna. Guy is directing a new film and this was a brief spot on Extra about him and his wife. Quote before the video:
The notoriously private director is opening up about what it’s like to be married to one of the world’s most famous women.
Guy got personal with “Extra†on the set of his new movie – and he’s revealing the one secret you never knew about him!
Yeah, but who was on the screen 80% of the time? Who knows how to interview and keep everyone interested (and drooling)? Why, Gerry of course! Extra completely mislabeled this. Sorry all Guy Ritchie fans. This one was really to highlight the Hot Scot!

I read an interesting article about a fish that was alive when the dinosaurs were around. It was thought to be extinct until 1938 when a live specimen was found. Honestly, I’m not schooled enough to know what about it marks it as so unusual, other than the fact that its fossil record is 400 million years old. WOW!
I also found on that site a WAY COOL timeline of the history of the universe and earth, complete with pictures and drawings.

I found this interesting article on “duh” studies – like, did these researchers really need the grant money to find these results? Here are a few examples:
Meanwhile, Penn State psychologist Elizabeth Susman observed that kids who tend to stay up late don’t get enough sleep, and are thus more likely to misbehave and get bad grades.
In the sports world, McGill University Health Center researchers say that wearing a helmet decreases soccer players’ chances of being hurt when struck in the head by a ball. In another soccer study, physician Michael Gerhardt showed that regularly stretching before practice cuts down on groin injuries.
Mayo Clinic obesity expert James Levine reports that walking is good for you.
This one is at least funny:
Finally, Deakin University’s Hayley Matic studied men taking erectile dysfunction drugs. Her verdict: the pills helped them have sex, but that didn’t mean the sex was any good.

I’m writing again. Can’t tell you what a wonderful feeling that is. While I did write those short erotica stories for my GB GALfriends, they weren’t the same as writing to get published. I’m not sure what’s been holding me back, but I felt like I was in a holding pattern. Publishers closing, editors leaving, agents busy — these are part of the publishing world, but for some reason they seemed to put a halt on my creativity.
So a few days ago I was instant messaging with a friend and I asked her for an idea for sexy short story. I want to submit to the Scarlet Rose line at The Wild Rose Press.
The same place The Lady’s Bargain is for sale. My friend gave me an idea and I ran with it. I’m thrilled to say that in just a few days I have over twenty pages written and I’m more than half way finished. I can’t guarantee that The Wild Rose Press will buy the story, but I feel better knowing that Muse hasn’t left me for good! Wish me luck!

If you flip to my alter-ego (Leslie Dicken) you might have read my post on the hundreds of tadpoles in my small pond. I couldn’t believe how many there were! Well, despite no fish in there, their numbers slowly dwindled. As they got larger, they hid more and it got to the point where I wasn’t sure if we had any left!
But today I saw teeny little American toads sitting on the floating clovers. They are tiny. Less than inch and the cutest things ever! I only saw about four, not sure if more are hiding or haven’t completely changed over yet. Yeah, I’m excited. Guess you could call me a nature nerd, er, girl. LOL!
Just had to follow up in case someone was truly wondering the outcome of our little nursery.
