Today is Leap Day - the extra day added to the calendar during leap years.
Here’s the quick explanation — Although the modern calendar counts a year as 365 days, a complete revolution around the sun takes approximately 365 days and 6 hours. Every four years, an extra twenty-four hours have accumulated, so one extra day is added to that calendar to keep the count coordinated with the sun’s apparent position.
Other interesting Leap Day information and traditions!
SO HAPPY LEAP DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can look at the one from last week if you missed it. Just so much to do these days!
As an update, I’m almost done with my revisions to my erotica short story, IMPROPER NIGHTS. Hopefully I’ll have a cover soon!
Once that is done, I’m going to try to focus on a new novel and the direction I want to move forward.
A TARNISHED HEART will be out in April, and with that, I’ll be increasing my promotion. I’m hoping this will include guest chats, guest blogging, signings, and of course - contests! I’ve purchase several goodies already for giving away!
For Fun:

My agent and I have decided to part ways. It seemed the best for both of us. Sometimes two people just work differently and have different thoughts and goals in mind. Still, it’s an adjustment. We worked together for two years. So now I have to set course and decide where my heart belongs as far as my writing goes and if or when to look for a new agent.
To give myself a little cheer–

Revisions are done for A TARNISHED HEART!
My editor has made the final go-through and its off to have the final touches put on.
Don’t have the exact date, but sometime in April it will be available for purchase as Amazon, B&N.com, etc.! Please be sure to check back as time gets closer, I have lots of prizes to give away to celebrate!!
Short Excerpt:
Then he was before her. The heat and scent from his body washed over her in a trembling wave of awareness. Suddenly, she could say no more. She glanced at Lady Harkmoor, but the woman slept soundly.
“I can read you so easily,” he said in a low, raw whisper. “One look at your face and I know what is in your mind.”
She gulped, her pulse drumming in her ears.
“I won’t let you deny it this time. No. Your lips beg me to kiss them, isn’t that true?”
Lizzie let her eyelids drift downward, the senses of smell and sound heightening. His foreign aroma stirred her blood, the sound of his breathing tightened her nipples.
He shifted closer, his words tickling down her neck. “That won’t work, Miss Parker. You can’t run from me here, you can not hide from what will happen next.”
“What about Lady Harkmoor?”
“She’ll not awaken.”
Lizzie felt her cape move away and slide off her shoulders. A small whimper escaped her lips.
“Look at me while I kiss you.”
His hoarse seductive voice unraveled her last shard of resistance. Lizzie opened her eyes to find him staring at her, a blaze of determination and desire.
“That’s better.” He cupped his hands around her jaw.
Lizzie lost herself to the pressure of his lips on hers. As with each time before, this skilled man knew how to open her mouth with only a small taste of him. One sample of his tongue had her begging for more.
Markham kissed her deep and hard, stimulating that yearning in her gut. Her belly cramped, her legs clenched tighter. When his hand traveled down her shoulder and captured her breast, Lizzie gasped with need.

Read the below and tell me where you think it originated:
Leah was staring at George. A series of rapid, pulsating whimpers escaped her lips. She then drew near to George, who locked gazes with her, his face unreadable. His shoulders were relaxed, and when Leah was within his grasp he opened his right arm and embraced her. Leah lay on the ground and George looked into her eyes. He bent over to lie on her, while Leah wrapped her legs around George’s waist…
The TIME article askes if it is perhaps a letter from Penthouse Forum or from “the pages of a well-thumbed romance novel.” Is that what you guessed?
Actually, it was from a primatology journal. It was the first known witnessing of a gorilla couple mating face-to-face (rather than face-to-back), which is an extremely rare behavior. Something these scientists hadn’t seen in 13 years of observation.
The act took all of two minutes, the typical time period for gorilla males (and some humans, but I digress). George also held Leah’s hand afterward. Could it be that they like to cuddle, too? Leah was also observed testing the depth of a pond with a stick rather just diving straight in.
As with Orangutans, these Gorillas exhibit an amazing connection between other primates and humans. Although this couple would be much more human-like if George was seen rolling over and immediately dozing and Leah picked up her romance novel and continued reading…

Wow, what a blast I had…and all in two days!! My visit was far better than I ever expected. There was so much I still didn’t get to see. I did view some of the Katrina wreckage but did not take any pictures of it. In all, I took seventy pictures, so if you want to see the rest, visit my album on Photobucket.
{Edition XV}

I had a GREAT time! Kudos to the people of New Orleans with their enthusiasm and celebrations. I have pictures of floats, parades, beads, the French Quarter, an old cemetery, a paddle boat and more. If I can get my act together tonight, I will post my thirteen favorite pictures (with explanations) for T13 tomorrow.
As for today, I’m trying to catch up at work, the various blogs I read, and emails.
Hope you missed me!
