Don’t EVER buy a bag of Hershey’s Coconut Creme Kisses again. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I wasted money on something gross. coconutcream Oh no. I’ve eaten the entire bag. I can’t stop. With most Hershey Kisses, I’ll eat one or two and be satisfied. These have left me with a craving like I’ve never witnessed! I want more and more and more! They are my crack-cocaine!! I need help. Hershey, what have you done to me???

You can find others’ reviews of them here and here and here

Thanks once again

willig to Smart Bitches Trashy Books for hooking me up with something fun. Somewhere in my blog I’ve talked about romance covers — whether it be using the same model or me liking the use of old paintings. Well, here’s a combination of those two ideas: Reusable Cover Art in Historical Novels. This lady (painting) to the right seems especially popular!

Oh, and just because: check out my page at Manic Readers!

Take a look at the Writers At Play blog — over the weekend, Mona Risk talked about “Looking Your Best” and today we have Stacey Kayne chatting about St. Patrick’s Day. Remember to give a comment or two, many of the playpals do give-aways when they post!

Hey Potter heads!

I just read this about filming the final book in the HP series…

The final Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will get the two-film treatment, simply named Part I and Part II. The two will be released six months apart; the first in November 2010 and then in May 2011. The franchise’s producer David Heyman said J.K. Rowling’s finale, published last year, is so packed with important details that “unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book.”

I’ll admit that was one HEFTY book and was totally jampacked with just about everything. At times I thought there was just TOO much included, and yet, I couldn’t wait to read the next scene. I’ll be interested to see how they transform it to the screen.

As an aside, doesn’t my nephew (that’s him with one of my daughters) look a lot like Daniel Radcliffe?

thursday thirteen
Thirteen Reasons I (nearly) Forgot Today’s Thursday Thirteen

1. I have five urgent projects to do at once at work.
2. My daughter is having a birthday party sleepover tomorrow night, about seven girls.
3. I’m having a Monavie tasting at my house on Saturday morning.
4. I’m attending St. Patrick’s Day party #1 on Saturday afternoon (and have to make something for it).
5. My son is having his birthday part sleepover (yes, they’re twins) Saturday night.
6. I may leave the husband with the boys for an hour and attend St. Patrick’s Day party #2 on Saturday night (and will have to make something to bring).
7. Sunday morning there is a big Purim carnival at the temple. Need to bake cakes and goodies for the cake walk and bake sale.
8. Teenager is bugging me relentlessly to get her Lerner’s Permit.
9. Teenager has new boyfriend and I’m still needing to “keep a close eye” on things!
10. I have a new story idea and it’s been running around in my mind constantly.
11. My father’s 70th birthday is coming up and I still need to send out invites!
12. We’re having issues at my son’s school and need to deal with everything going on.
13. Spring is right around the corner and I’ve got stuff to plant, mulch to put down, and dead leaves to clear away!!

When boredom sets in

Posted by Leslie on March 7th, 2008 | No Comments

I get a “bee in my bonnet.” I don’t mean boredom in general, as in: I have nothing to do, I’m so bored! Heaven, no! That hasn’t happened in…well, at least in this century!! I mean bored with a certain look. This happens in my house when I want to rearrange furniture because I’m bored with a room. Or when I get bored with my hair and change the style. Today the victim was the look of my page at mySpace. I decided I wanted it more as a promotional tool and less of “finding friends and posting cute comments.” So I found a website with some templates that were not the usual and then once I chose one, I spent the rest of the time (warning: nerd alert!) adjusting the HTML and CSS.

I’d love to know what you think of it. And maybe you can leave me a comment there…I have no idea how that section will work! LOL!
