all weekend long…sigh. In a way, it was nice to not have that pull of I MUST CHECK MY EMAIL AND EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE WEB. I actually spent time in my garden, and with my kids, and washed some clothes. On the other hand, AACCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!! It couldn’t have happened at a worse time! Friday was my BLOG DAY at Writers At Play and I never got the chance to respond to any comments! Now, several new posts have gone up over there. Plus, I had a reader from Australia email me about A TARNISHED HEART and I didn’t see it for several days. Anyway, I had a signing at a friend’s house on Friday night. It was fun. Sold about nine books (both ATH and PRICE). I also got two new books in the mail to read - YAY! - and I’ll write about them once I finished reading. Other than that, I’m scurrying to read and catch up! Sorry I was MIA for the whole weekend!

Betty Hanawa is talking about her new release “Turquiose Dreams” - where the idea came from, how she wrote it in 14 days, and the constant push and encouragement she had from her friends (namely me and Tawny Weber). Also, Marlene Urso has a very thought-provoking topic on Perception. She talks about how she’s read the same book various times throughout her life and how she reacted differently each time and learned something new with each read. This perception has also helped her with contest judges, knowing if they are not regular historical readers, their slant on judging her historical entry might be different. Great topic!

over at Writers At Play…and not the kind made in hockey or soccer!! I’m not big on big goals. It’s just my personality. I have them there in my brain somewhere, telling myself that something needs to get done by a certain time. But I never say to myself “I will have a book published by the time I’m thirty” or “I’ll hit the NYT Best seller list by the time I’m forty.” Maybe it’s the pressure, maybe it’s that I can’t control much of that. I don’t know. I do like the smaller goals…sometimes I can actually achieve them! Sometimes!! (Comment on my post at WAP and you may win a prize!)

Lisa is doing her “Damsel Not in Distress” post. Today’s is about Stephanie Plum, the heroine in Janet Evanovich’s hot “numbers” series. These books are F-U-N! And Stephanie is mostly definitely NOT in distress!! LOL!
