I’m still recovering from my 2.5 day sailing trip and my 40th birthday, but I promise to post some pictures of the last few days soon!
Until then, here is a link to the latest Gerry rumor!

Just saw this (yes, because I was checking out the recent review and comments on Gerry) and had to comment:
…Wuthering Heights is my favorite book. I love it more than anything. It has everything — ghosts, a Byronic hero (who you aren’t supposed to love — but I do anyway), a twisted love affair, sadistic revenge, even a dose of necrophilia. (Not that I roll with that sort of thing, but it’s noteworthy in a Victorian novel.) I have never seen a film version, not even Lawrence Olivier’s, because I never wanted my vision spoiled.
I’ve mentioned before that Wuthering Heights was the one story which propelled me into writing. It’s why I have a fascination with gothics (especially historical) now. For every reason mentioned above, it has always been my favorite book. But as for the movie choice of Catherine, I have to agree with the writer:
But I cannot see (Natalie) Portman as Cathy. Look, I like her — and I think she is very talented. Her youth works in her favor. But Cathy is psychotic and deeply unlikeable, something I have never seen in Portman. (Not even in Closer or The Other Boleyn Girl.) Ideal casting would have been Angelina Jolie in her Girl, Interrupted days, or Kate Winslet fresh off Heavenly Creatures. That’s Cathy Earnshaw.
Hmmm…wonder if I’ll see this film version. NOW…if they can cast Gerry as Healthcliff…OMG! I would die a very happy woman!!

Leaving today for the GBGALS Convention in Las Vegas! No Thursday Thirteen this week either! I’ll be back late on Monday and hopefully sometime on Tuesday I’ll post a summary of my trip and some pictures!

Although I could come up with 13 reasons why I didn’t get today this week’s Thursday Thirteen, it’s already Friday - so why bother? LOL!
Let’s just say, between checking kids’ heads for creepy crawlies and a severe thunderstorm which knocked out power and internet for 24 hours, things haven’t exactly been normal around here.
Today, my nephew graduates from high school. Wow. I saw him when he was an hour old. Could eighteen years have gone by already?
This weekend, my son and husband go cub scout camping, my parents return to Florida after staying up here in their condo for two months, and I prepare to head to Vegas for the Gerry Butler GALS Convention on Wednesday. So, if I’m scarce over the next few days or so, you’ll understand why.

The type of panties I am (because you’ve been wondering…come on, admit it!)
You Are Lacy Panties

You’re one seductive chica, but you’ve also got a ton of class.
You are like a pinup girl, with timeless beauty and sexiness.
Men are afraid to talk to you, knowing they’ll be addicted to your charm immediately.
Only a true manly man, confident in himself, is your perfect match.

My agent and I have decided to part ways. It seemed the best for both of us. Sometimes two people just work differently and have different thoughts and goals in mind. Still, it’s an adjustment. We worked together for two years. So now I have to set course and decide where my heart belongs as far as my writing goes and if or when to look for a new agent.
To give myself a little cheer–

Ever since Gerry bellowed “THIS. IS. SPARTA!” in 300, there have been numerous parodies of that line and King Leonidas. I’m posting a few here, but you can also check out this site for several more!
(a double parody, as Gerry also played the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera)
