I was thinking I’d use Fridays as play days. I’ll post pictures (mostly of Gerry, but not always) that either ARE frisky in and of themselves, or make me have “frisky” thoughts! LOL! Don’t worry – no hard core nudity!
Just to show I’m not completely Gerry obsessed, today’s picture will not be of him.

(I’m editing this to add a picture of Gerry, since there was a question or two of who he was. I can’t list all of his movies and appearances here, the list is too long. A quick search of his name will give you either his fan sites or his IMDB listing.)
Yes, folks, I’m joining the ranks (a few hours early)…of course, I can’t imagine how I can come up with a list of 13 items each week, but we shall see!! So, here goes my first THIRTEEN about what else? Gerry! (Next week I’ll do something like romance or writing or historicals or whatever!)

Okay, if you’ve paid attention to this blog AT ALL, you’d know what a Gerry Butler fan I am. My love affair began with Phantom of the Opera, which I saw almost randomly on DVD one night. Well from that one time on a little TV screen to over countless times for the next two years, I have sung with and lusted after Gerry as the Phantom. Of course, from there I have learned to know so much more about the actor in his other roles, off-the-screen, and in the community of fans.
ANYWAY, I have never seen The Phantom of the Opera on the big theater screen. By the time I was hooked, it was long past its theatrical release. Finally, I have the chance. The GBGALS Convention (image on left) will be showing it out in Las Vegas. I’ve already registered for the convention and bought my ticket for the movie. Needless to say, this is certainly one event I just CAN’T WAIT to happen. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

The 3rd Annual Gerard Butler Fan Convention will be held on June 13th and 14th in Las Vegas, Nevada. ALL Gerard Butler fans are welcome to attend! Convention events include video and graphics workshops, raffles and silent auctions for Gerry-fied goodies, entertainment, dinner, and dance on June 13, the “Vintage Hollywood” themed costume Ball on June 14th, and much, much more (still being planned). The 2008 convention will be held at the Las Vegas Hilton! It is situated on 59 acres next to the Las Vegas Strip (the Hilton’s Monorail station links the property to the Strip via a five minute ride) and adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Attendees will be required to fill out and submit a minimum payment of $100 to reserve their places at the convention. Be sure to register early as this event is getting more popular every year! Registration begins at 9:00 ET, 8:00 CT, 7:00 MT and 6:00 PT, today, September 29, 2007 at http://www.gerardbutlergals.com/vegas2008.

I don’t write them, but they can be wonderful to watch. And who better to star in one than, oh, say, Gerry Butler? He looks so cute in this movie, not just hot and sexy, but cute and fun and goofy and completely awesome. See for yourself!
I hope wherever Leslie is right now that’s she’s soaking up the sun and not sitting in the rain, let alone a hurricane. In the meantime, she’s left me, her longtime critique partner Lisa, in charge and I don’t aim to disappoint her readers looking for a Gerry fix.
If I ever saw Rodrigo Santoro dressed as the 7-foot Xerxes approaching on a dance floor I would be speechless. Of course, at some clubs, he might have to work a little harder than wearing a bejeweled speedo and enough bling to be a human disco ball to get noticed.
Well, despite ordering the book months in advance to be sure it arrived on release date (it did), I didn’t get started reading it until yesterday. That stupid real life (you know, job, family, out of town guests, etc.) got in my way. But I’m now about 1/4 of the way through. My sister and nephew who have read it are ITCHING to talk about it so I need to hurry up and finish. And since I have my DVD copy of 300 now (w00t w00t!), I have to finish Potter so I can spend the rest of my free time drooling over Gerry’s nearly naked body! LOL!
